The Jordan Elementary School project includes renovations of the current classroom spaces, including extensive renovations to the 1970s portion of the building, and additions to include 7 classrooms, kitchen, cafeteria/commons, and a new gymnasium/storm shelter.
Construction work will being in Spring 2024, and continue through Fall 2025. One of the first things we will see is a section of the Jordan Elementary School property fenced off for heavy equipment and exterior site work. The fencing will encompass the front staff parking lot and the area around the Jordan Elementary School playground.
Students will not have access to the playground this spring, but they will continue to have use of the green spaces behind Jordan Elementary School to run and play during recess and physical education classes.
The map below indicates the areas that will be worked on during Spring and Summer 2024. Exterior work will begin this spring, with interior renovations and parking lot work to occur during the Summer months.

The building projects taking place at Jordan High School will include a secure entrance renovation with an updated front office (shown in the drawing below), and replacing the building roof. The main entrance of Jordan High School will be closed during Summer 2024 to complete these projects.
