The Early Learning Experience
Jordan Public Schools offers early childhood education and preschool opportunities for all families with children between the ages of birth to age five. We recognize that families provide children’s first and most important learning environments, and parents are children’s first and most significant teachers. Our programs work collaboratively with families to enhance educational experiences.
Early Explorers Preschool: We offer programming for children ages 3 to 5 in both morning, afternoon, and full day options. Our goal is to ensure children enter kindergarten with the skills and behaviors necessary to be successful in future learning.
Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE): ECFE programs offer a variety of services and activities to bring families together to share the joys and challenges of parenthood and develop confidence in their own abilities. Our offerings are through classes, events, and community gatherings.
Early Childhood Screening: Screening is a quick and simple check of how your child is growing and developing. Between the ages of 3 and 4, screening can detect possible health or learning concerns so that children can get help before they start school. Completing screening is required for attending school in the district.
Early Childhood Special Education (ECSE): ESCE provides services to children ages birth to 3 and ages 3 to 5 with special needs. Services take place at school as well as with families in the natural setting, typically home or child care.
Early Ed-ventures: We offer a wrap-around extended daycare program designed to provide a safe and positive environment in cooperation with Early Explorers Preschool all within the same building.
Kids’ Company: Kids’ Company is a program designed to provide a safe, supervised, recreational, and enriching environment before and after school for children in Kindergarten through grade 6 for students enrolled in the district. Kids’ Company is held in the elementary school, and Kids’ Company also offers care in the summer.
