Due to the recent district announcement that students in grades K-12 will be moving to a Distance Learning Model effective 11/23 (announcement), families may find themselves in need for school-age care. Kids’ Company will continue to provide care for students AGES 5 to 12 regardless of the district learning model.
WHO CAN USE KIDS’ CO DURING DISTANCE LEARNING?
Kids’ Company will provide school-age care for students ages 5-12. The availability of care will be priority based (in this order).- Tier 1 Critical Workers: cost $0
- School-age care for children of critical workers is intended for extreme circumstances in which no parent or guardian is at home, as all of the parents or legal guardians in the child’s household are Tier I critical workers (Resource: MN Safe Learning Plan (page 17).

- Currently enrolled Kids' Company students: cost $38/ day
- New registrations: cost $38/ day (first come, first served basis)
Kids’ Company school-age care for Distance Learning will begin on November 23.
- Additional factors that may affect available enrollment are: staffing needs and abilities; operations management, and state guidance.
TIER 1 CRITICAL WORKER INFORMATION AND QUALIFICATION:
- Jordan Public Schools will provide care to Tier 1 families during the school hours of 8:00am - 3:00pm at no cost to district students ages 5-12 who are children of emergency workers critical to the State’s response to COVID-19.
- If Tier 1 students need before and after school hours care from 6:00am - 8:00am and/or 3:00pm - 6:00pm an additional charge will be assessed.
- During distance learning, Kids’ Co busing is available to the students of Tier 1 Critical Workers ONLY. There will be an opportunity to register for busing.
- School-age care for children of critical workers is intended for extreme circumstances in which no parent or guardian is at home, as all of the parents or legal guardians in the child’s household are Tier I critical workers.
- If it is a two-parent household and one is not a critical worker, a school is not required to provide free school-age care to the family.
- Verification of Tier 1 status will be required from the employer of the Critical Worker(s).

DISTANCE LEARNING SCHOOL AGE CARE LOCATIONS
Your child is registered for Distance Learning School Age Care.If your child is using BEFORE SCHOOL CARE:
- Before school care drop off is at the Elementary School.
- Parent/guardian must come into the building for drop off.
If your child is using AFTER SCHOOL CARE:
- After school care will is located at the Elementary School.
- Parent/guardian must come into the building for pick up.
If your child is using SCHOOL DAY CARE ONLY (8am - 3pm):
- Kindergarten through Grade 2 > Report to Elementary School
- Parent/guardian must come into the building for drop off and pick up.
- Grades 3 through Grade 6 > report to Middle School.
- Parent/guardian must come into the building for drop off and pick up.
- Middle School doors will not open until 8:00am.
- If you are utilizing before and/or after school care, staff will escort students between buildings when needed.
THINGS TO BRING:
- Student's Chromebook - please charge the night before
- Charger - please label with student name
