COVID-19 Preparedness Plan for Summer School Programming
Due to the recent update by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) and the Department of Health (MDH), school districts are allowed to provide summer school services on-site in our schools. Please read on to review our COVID-19 Summer School Preparedness Plan.Important reminders for families:
- Students who have a fever of 100.0 or above or other signs of illness should not come to summer programming. Parents should monitor their child and keep them home when they are sick.
- Students are not required to wear a barrier face mask during summer school programming.
- Students must have their own water bottle, with their name clearly marked, that can be refilled at a water fountain station. An empty bottle or bottle of water will be provided by the school if needed.
- If a student shows signs of illness during the programming day the parent/guardian will be contacted. The student will be brought to the health office and a barrier face mask will be placed on the child while awaiting pickup from parent/guardian.
- The Jordan Public School District will provide strict cleaning protocols to ensure classroom space is cleaned effectively to support on-site learning for summer school programming.
