What inspired you to run for the school board?
My passion is for our youth to have the best, well-rounded educational opportunities possible to help them discern their career and path in life. My goal is for our youth to be productive, compassionate, good citizens. The Jordan School District served our children well, and I wanted to share the gifts that I have to serve the students and families of our district.
When did you begin working for the school board?
Current board committee assignments
Budget/Finance Committee, City-School Committee, Curriculum & Technology Integration Committee, Education Foundation, Facilities Committee, Meet and Confer/Continuing Education/Staff Development, Negotiations Committee, Personnel Committee, Policy Committee, SCALE (alternate), SW Metro / Intermediate District Representative
Point of contact / Ad-hoc committee assignments

My husband, Myron, and I raised our four children in Jordan. All of them graduated from Jordan High School. We currently have four grandchildren in the district. Spending time with our children and grandchildren is our number one priority. We love going to our grandchildren's sporting and arts events. We are actively involved in our community with the desire to make it a better place to live, work, play and learn. We love to travel, garden, golf and play cards. We volunteer doing disaster relief work when there are natural disasters, such as floods and tornadoes. Being active in our community and beyond is very important to us.
