TESTING FOR YOUR CNA

  • Students in the Summit Academy Heathcare and Medicine Course have the option of taking the CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) test following the semester. Students who took the Health Careers course do have the option of taking the CNA test and the district will cover the cost of the test within a year of completing the course at Jordan High School.

    Summer 2019 Test Details
Students can take the CNA test at Hennepin Technical College on both the Eden Prairie and Brooklyn Park campus. The available summer test dates are Wednesday, July 10 at the Eden Prairie campus and Monday, August 12 at the Brooklyn Park Campus. More test options will be available in the Fall as well (contact Hennepin Tech for those specific dates). Students have to register in person prior to the test date. This registration should be completed as soon as possible as testing spots do fill up quickly. The cost is $166 due at the time of registration. However, the school district will reimburse the cost of the test. If a student does not pass the test and wishes to retest, those additional costs would not be covered by the district. When registering, students will be doing the test out option, which just means that you did not receive curriculum at Hennepin Tech and would simply like to take the test (the term is to "test out" or "challenge the test").
