I love math and enjoy helping students build connections with it throughout the year. I’m passionate about providing extra support to those who need it, ensuring every student has the opportunity to explore, understand, and succeed in mathematics. Most importantly, I want all my students to feel valued, supported, and confident in their learning journey.

Websites with Math Games and Activities
At Math for Love, we teach mathematics in its whole context. Mathematics begins by playing… with games, puzzles, patterns, shapes, numbers, structures, rules, and ideas. From there, you observe and ask questions. Owning your question leads to the rest: refinement, searching for solutions, discovering the connections that allow you to not just solve but understand your problem, and finally, rigorous writing and presentation of your solution.
Our main goal is to inspire, educate and empower teachers of mathematics, transforming the latest research on mathematics into accessible and practical forms. We know from research how to teach math well and how to bring about high levels of student engagement and achievement, but research has not previously been made accessible to families and educators.

Mrs. Johnson
Grade K-4 Math Specialist
Math is my favorite! When I was a student, I would work on math before anything else for school! I look forward to connecting with students in a small group setting this year as we conquer math skills together. I have taught 4th grade, Kindergarten, 1st grade, and most recently, 2nd grade. This is my 22nd year teaching overall and 17th year in Jordan. I will support students through their math journey!

MTSS / Reading Specialist
I have been teaching for awhile now, and I think being a reading teacher is my favorite! In the past, I was a classroom teacher in kindergarten, 1st grade, and 2nd grade. Now I get to work with small groups all day long, focusing on teaching students exactly what they need to become successful readers. My goals are to help students grow in their reading and to help them believe they can be successful!
