I knew as a young girl that I someday wanted to be a teacher. I grew up playing school in my toy room any chance I could! I even tried to make my own overhead projector with a hanging cloth and flashlight. Along came smartboards and I never got the chance to use one in my own classroom. I am fortunate to have family and friends in Education, whom inspired and encouraged me to follow my dream. There is nothing better than getting to work with young children each day. They bring joy and a passion for learning that reminds me daily how blessed I am to be a teacher.

As an elementary teacher, I love getting my students hooked on reading. My dream is to turn them into life long learners who have a love of reading.
