I've been teaching at the elementary and middle school level in some capacity for more than 20 years. Being raised by parents who were both teachers instilled in me not only the love of learning, but also the joy you feel when you can share this knowledge with others. Watching my students light up when they "get it" is one of the best feelings there is. Teaching has always been a part of who I am, and I love the daily changes that teaching younger students brings. No two days are the same!

I feel incredibly lucky to be working for the Jordan School District! There are so many reasons why I love being a teacher, but the main reason is that I get to form so many positive connections with students and families. It is an honor to watch students succeed in many different aspects of their life-whether that is academically, socially, etc. I am excited to instill a love for learning into my second grade students this year & continue to make learning fun for all.

I love making connections with students, friends, and community members. I was thrust into the field of teaching when my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Ronning, died of cancer part way through my undergraduate studies and I was a business major at the time. I knew the impact that he had upon my life and I wanted to be that person towards many young people for generations to come. I love being overly silly with my students while making learning fun, interesting, and applicable to their own personal life. I look forward to a long career in Jordan Public Schools and I can't wait to develop life long friendships.
