I absolutely love working with students and helping them learn, grow, and achieve more than they thought they could. Music is the perfect vehicle for teaching valuable life skills and lessons, in addition to providing a unique creative outlet that someone can be involved in their entire life. What I love most about Jordan band students are their passion, drive, and energy that they bring to my classroom. They are curious, fun-loving, and love being a part of the Jordan Band community.

I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the time I was in lower elementary school, because I loved everything about school. I loved every subject, and I enjoyed helping my classmates who needed help. I considered teaching many subjects, but finally settled on music because I thought it would be more fun than teaching math or language or reading. I love teaching band at JMS-- I get to share my love of music with some of the coolest people on the planet!

I always knew I wanted to teach, and I had many music educators that inspired me to go into music. After traveling the world with The Young Americans and teaching all ages, I fell in love with the middle school aged students the most. I love making music with middle school students, challenging them with new songs and learning and growing with them is the absolute best! Also, they're a bit weird and goofy, and so am I!! A perfect match!
