Course Description

  • In Media Production & Application, students will apply the foundational health topics studied to create multimedia presentations and productions for personal and schoolwide wellbeing. This course will include an overview of social and emotional learning, a health seminar (an investigation of a personal health interest), and American Heart Association Infant/Child First Aid/CPR. An investigation of a personal health interest will allow each student to further explore a topic of their own interest. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to perform infant/child First Aid/CPR and earn American Heart Association certification.

    Make strategic use of digital media and visual displays of data to express information and enhance understanding of presentations.

    As evidenced based on classroom assessments, the student is able to:

      • 7.9.5.5 Include multimedia components and visual displays in presentations to clarify claims and findings and emphasize salient points.

    Communicate using traditional or digital multimedia formats and digital writing and publishing for a specific purpose.
