I have always known that I wanted to be a teacher. I love having the opportunity to work with students each day and to help foster their love of reading and learning. One of my favorite parts of teaching is watching my students grow as people. It is so fun to see their confidence grow and their personalities shine as they learn and discover their interests, talents, and passions.

Middle School is a time for growth, in many areas of a young person's life. My goal is to help students grow and develop academically, socially, and emotionally. I feel that everyone has their own level of success they aim for and different challenges to overcome. No matter what goals someone strives for or what obstacles they come up against, I want to support and guide them in their journey to success! This is the main reason I wanted to pursue a career in the education field.

I chose education because I love learning, helping others, and seeing people when the light bulb comes on and they realize it.

Having graduated from Jordan High School and worked with Jordan Community through high school and college, I was excited to join such a great district as a teacher. I have enjoyed helping the students at Jordan become critical thinkers with a love for learning.

I chose my profession because I love learning, and I love being around kids. When I am in the classroom with my students and we are generating an excitement for whatever we are learning, I feel most alive! Everyday is filled with opportunities to: inspire and to be inspired, challenge and be challenged, guide and be guided. It's a great profession.
