Jordan Elementary School’s (JES) Countdown to Kindergarten for the Class of 2038 has begun! 

Kindergarten enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year is now open. The deadline for registration is February 15, 2025. Families with incoming Kindergarten students are encouraged to register as soon as possible to be included in important communications related to starting Kindergarten at Jordan Elementary School. Student registrations also help the District plan for teaching staff for the incoming Kindergarten class and beyond. 

Kindergarten students at Jordan Elementary School benefit from core instruction in literacy, math, social studies, and science during the Kindergarten year. In addition, Kindergarten students will attend classes with specialists including Gym, Art, Media/Technology, Music and KWIN. KWIN (Kindergarten What I Need) programming focuses on social and emotional learning support as students transition to the school environment. 

This will be the first Kindergarten class to experience K-4 in the newly renovated Jordan Elementary School building. Construction crews at Jordan Elementary School will complete the second phase of building renovations by Fall 2025, which will include a newly renovated K-1 wing. Renovated classrooms will feature updated technology, lighting, furniture, and imaginative play pieces in all Kindergarten classrooms. 

“On behalf of our entire staff, we are so excited to welcome the newest class of Kindergarten students to Jordan Elementary School!” said Principal Melissa Barnett. “We hope that the parents/guardians of the Class of 2038 students will join us to learn more about Jordan Elementary School at our upcoming events.” 

Important upcoming events for Kindergarten families to be aware of include “Welcome to Jordan Elementary School” a parent/guardian information night on Thursday, January 23, at 6:00pm and “Welcome to Kindergarten” a Kindergarten Roundup night for parents/guardians and incoming Kindergarten students on Thursday, February 20, at either 4:00pm or 5:00pm.
