Jeff Vizenor named new Jordan High School Principal
Jordan Public Schools (JPS) is excited to announce Jeff Vizenor as the new principal for Jordan High School. Jeff replaces Barb McNulty who will retire following the current school year.
Mr. Vizenor serves as the current activities director and an assistant principal for the School District.
Superintendent Matt Helgerson shared in announcement to JPS staff that, “Mr. Jeff Vizenor has been selected unanimously as the top choice to lead our high school as principal. Jeff worked very hard to earn this position both as a AD/AP in our district and throughout this rigorous interview process.”
For the past 5 years Jeff has been a part of the Jordan School District in numerous roles. He has been a social studies teacher, activities director, and assistant principal. During his time at Jordan he was instrumental in the Jordan High School stadium renovation and was voted the Region 2A Activities Director of the Year by his peers. Jeff is also a member of the Jordan Parks and Recreation Advisory committee.
Prior to coming to Jordan Public Schools, Jeff spent two years in Shakopee as a teacher and coach and then a year as the Dean of Students at Shakopee High School.
All totaled Jeff has over 25 years devoted to the development of young people through teaching, coaching, and administration.
His wife Amy is an education professor at Gustavus Adolphus and daughter Abby is a seventh grader at Jordan Middle School. The family resides in Jordan, Minnesota.
